Structured
cabling
A structured cabling system is the basis of the information infrastructure of any enterprise, which makes it possible to bring together many information services for various purposes into a single system: LAN, telephone networks, security systems, video surveillance, etc.
A structural cable network must meet three basic requirements:
  • It is universal, that is, it makes it possible to use it for signal transmission of the main existing and promising types of network equipment for various purposes;
  • Allows you to quickly and at minimal cost organize new jobs and change the connection scheme and SCS without laying additional cable lines;
  • Allows you to organize a single operation service.
Cable type and location
For the effective operation of the video surveillance system, the right approach to cabling is very important. You need to pay attention to the place where the cables will pass, whether this one will be from the outside or inside, which will pass next to them, for example, high-voltage lines. Knowing all this, you can choose between internal or external, as well as the type of cable: Cat 5, 5e, 6, 6a, 7, 8. Each cable has its own nuances in operation.

Cable testing and certification
Poor installation of structured cabling can lead to partial or complete failure of the network due to hidden defects that can only be identified through testing. Only according to the results of testing, we can safely say how well the work was done and how the characteristics of the structured cabling system coincide with the requirements of the customer and international standards. If necessary, you can make a certification of the cable network with the issuance of the relevant documentation in the form of a report on the certification of structured cables.
